Turning Point-Halloween Edition(part 8)

Another addition to the Turning Point Series, and a bonus Halloween shot at the very bottom of the post. These shots were taken at local parks, mostly Hawk Island Park in Lansing and the last fall photo of the series was Patriarch Park in East Lansing. I'm hoping to keep shooting this series to when snow just graces the ground so expect more to the series for a few more weeks.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Turning Point returns with a vengence! (part 7)

(sunrise photos all on Platte Lake)
The wait is finally over, new Turning Point photos are here! These are a compilation of a four day trip to the Traverse City area of the Northern Lower Peninsula. The colors weren't quite at peak yet but it was still very beautiful. It was a great vacation, including some great restaurants around Traverse.

(following photos near Honor MI)

(view from Crystal Mountain)

(on the Platte River)
The salmon were running on the Platte while we were up I went out trying to catch a few but ran empty there. Whenever I ran empty on fish I then would walk the river with my camera looking for wild life. The funny story is I ran into wildlife like herons and kingfishers while I was fishing, but when I gave up at fishing and went out for photos I saw zero wildlife...

(MSU Stadium not near Traverse City but a beauty all its own)

Allen Wedding Photos

1.
After enough time behind the PC editing screen to get a tan I've finally got my first wedding shoot edited. These are some highlights, I'll still be working on a wedding portfolio, let me know what images you think should get to the portfolio.

If you know anyone looking to book a wedding photographer, portrait photographer, or photos of any kind remember to send them my way, I'm currently booking and looking for more work.

I'll be getting back to the Turning Point Series tomorrow, I've got plenty of images just not enough time. Enjoy this plethora of images in the mean time.

Haunting Interlude

These are some teaser images from a vacation up north to the Grand Traverse area over the last weekend. I've got some new Turning Point photos from the trip too but I'm editing wedding photos day and night on top of classes and It'll take me some time to get some new photos up but enjoy these for now.

This is what was once the Northern Michigan Asylum, closed down in 1974 and scheduled to be demolished in 1996 until it was saved by local preservation groups and now is part of an urban reclamation project housing boutiques and shops. This is one of the still unoccupied sections that still leaves you with a haunting feeling on a cold and windy day.
